Casey Santiago, founder of Kangu.org, a lifesaving health service for pregnant women around the world and mother of two.

Carey Socol, a 50-state marathoner raising money for Christy Turlington's “Every Mother Counts” organization.

These are just a few of the remarkable moms who took to the runway last night at The Tents on The Stage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.

The second-annual Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show, co-created by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, executive producer of SWW Creative and Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein of The Moms, featured a collection of top contemporary designers to showcase looks that are realistic for today's moms.

This season's theme of “Moms on a Mission” was chosen to provide mothers with access to fashion, while celebrating women who are making a difference as chief executives, philanthropists and entrepreneurs.

Special guest Wendy Williams opened the show, followed by moms and their adorable kids walking the runway, wearing designs from Rent the Runway, the online destination for designer dress and accessory rentals, Bloomingdales, Famous Footwear, Jay Godrey, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Ingrid and Isabel, P.S. from Aeropostale, Julep and more.

Actress Lisa Rinna was also one of the moms strutting her stuff, wearing Jay Godrey.

“We are thrilled to be back,” Albert said. “To be able to merge fashion and motherhood together again is a dream come true for us. Motherhood triggers a desire to create a better world and support charitable efforts and with Strut, we have created the perfect platform for moms all over the world to do just that.”

A percentage of Rent the Runway proceeds from the looks will go to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

“The moms walking the Strut runway have been chosen for their extraordinary dedication in their communities and around the world,” Gerstein said. “These women all come from diverse fields and this fall, we want to highlight affordable fashion, philanthropy and motherhood while simultaneously making the world a better place.”
