As you're gearing up for Super Bowl 2014, the Toys R Us Times Square flagship store in Manhattan is kicking off family-friendly events for football fans of all ages. Here are some of the highlights:
Tomorrow through Saturday, Toys R Us will host product demos of Madden NFL 25 by EA Sports on Xbox One kiosks, NFL sticker album collections by Panini and NFL RUSH ZONE “Kickoff” Trading Card Game by PAMCO Studios, LLC.
Kids can decorate football-themed cookies and take pictures with Geoffrey the Giraffe tomorrow through Saturday. Scoops R Us, the store’s in-house ice cream shop, will offer ice cream flavors inspired by the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks throughout the week as well.
Test your football knowledge
On Friday from 3-5 p.m., football buffs can participate in trivia games hosted by Topps. Sports fans will answer questions about past and present NFL players and notable games with the opportunity to win prizes.
Crayola is hosting an event where kids can make their own rally towel to cheer on their favorite team using Crayola Marker Airbrush and Crayola Fabric Markers on Friday from noon-2 p.m.
Visit with a New York Giant
On Friday at 4 p.m., New York Giant John Conner will meet with fans and sign autographs.
Meet Todd McFarlane
On Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Todd McFarlane, best known as the creator of "Spawn" and the founder of McFarlane Toys will meet with fans of the artists's popular collectible figures. The first 400 customers to purchase either the exclusive McFarlane Toys Joe Namath NFL Legends or Eli Manning NFL Super Bowl figure at the store will obtain a ticket to meet McFarlane, while supplies last.
