September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and if you're looking to help, one thing you might do is donate to the Ronald McDonald House New York.
The Ronald McDonald House New York has helped more than 30,000 families by offering support and housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families as well as free transportation to treatment, tutoring, music lessons and educational classes for siblings and parents of sick children.
Here are some ways you can help raise awareness for childhood cancer research:
-- Download "I Will Always Be There" (.99 cents; iTunes.com), a song written and recorded by children staing at the Ronald McDonald House New York. All proceeds go back to the House.
-- Donating everyday household items, such as soap and toothpaste to postage, family-friendly entertainment and airline miles. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Or click here to see their current "wish list."
