Charli Kennedy plays villain Cruella De Vil year-round for "Disney on Ice: Let's Celebrate!" but it's this time of year -- Halloween season -- that her musical number, with villains including Jafar and Captain Hook, really stands out.
Newsday talked to Kennedy about her upcoming performance at Nassau Coliseum:
How does the villain's "Halloween" number fit into the show?
Our show is a big celebration of all the different holidays all around the world. Halloween is halfway through the first act. It's quite a spooky number.
What's it like to skate as a villain?
It's really awesome. She's my favorite character to play. She looks down on all the other villains. She believes she is the greatest. She has a big fur coat, which is really awesome.
We hear you tour with your cream-colored baby blankie that you've had since you were born.
I've never slept a day without it. It travels all around the world with me all year-round. It's just a comfort thing. It makes me feel secure, like I'm settled. It used to cover my whole body, but now it doesn't because I'm a lot bigger.
