Picture dropping like a stone from the ninth floor of a building -- that's the sensation created by the Super Shot, a thrill ride found at many carnivals around Long Island. Twelve riders sit in a circle around a column and are drawn slowly upward to 90 feet. As soon as they hit, they are released and free fall to the ground.
