Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? From butterfly storytime and crafts to a classic children's performance, bubbles and more, there's so much to do on Long Island. Here are my top five picks for fun, family-friendly activities this weekend:

1. Nature Tales at Seatuck Environmental Association (550 South Bay Ave., Islip). On Friday at 2 p.m., children 18 months and up can learn about nature through this fun, free storytime event.

2. Hallockville Museum Farm Tours at Hallockville Museum Farm (6038 Sound Ave., Riverhead). Learn about farming from the 1700s to the 1930s and kids can get up close and personal with some of the farm's animals. Tours take place from noon-4 p.m., Friday-Sunday. Price: $5-$7.

3. Little Naturalists StoryTime and Craft Circle Butterfly Discovery at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park (1395 Planting Fields Rd., Oyster Bay). On Saturday at 10:30 a.m., children ages 3 to 6 can listen to a reading of "From Caterpillar to Butterfly" and create a caterpillar or butterfly craft. Reservations are required; $8 parking fee.

4. Alice's Most Decidedly Unusual Adventures at Theatre Three (412 Main St., Port Jefferson). The classic children's tale "Alice in Wonderland" comes to live on stage. Performances are Friday at 11 a.m., Sat. at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; tickets $10.

5. Bubblefest at Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum (301 Main St., Cold Spring Harbor). Bubbles, bubbles everywhere! Children can get hands-on and experiment with bubble solution, blow bubbles, create bubble prints and more at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. This event is free with paid admission.
