The Port Washington boutique Wit & Whim is donating all of its net profits from its July sales to a program that sends more than 425 homeless and at-risk children on Long Island to camp for a day.

The so-called Backpack Pirates event is run by the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless. The organization’s program also provides backpacks and school supplies to more than 4,000 children in need.

The store, which chooses a different charity to donate to each month, is located at 6 Carlton Ave. For more information, call 516-944-9200 or go to wit-and-whim.com
