“If I were a lady, and I needed cute, cozy wearable clothes, I would definitely buy Adam,” said our male seatmate of Adam Lippes’ fall showing, which was inspired by a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian in lower Manhattan.

And, indeed, the designer put out a collection of closet staples peppered with must-haves. Included: a cobalt lumberjack pullover, an alabaster blanket coat, a swell skirt hemmed in feathers topped with a hand-knit wool sweater, and a stunning gold embroidered cocktail number emblazoned with a tribal pattern.
