A troika of eclectically dressed models – Anna Sui’s mod squad – marched down the runway shoulder-to-shoulder to open Anna Sui’s show and you knew right off, this was going to be classic Anna.

There were mod graphic prints –rocker chick ensembles – romantic boho looks – all done up in Sui’s joyous, groovy style – prints (Op-Art even), layers and shine. Some of the romantic, dandy-like flair was inspired by costumes from the Ballet Russe.

And while there was plenty for Anna’s PYT-base – a burn-out velvet trapeze dress with a full moon print – there were substantial pieces as well, perfect  for fending off winter doldrums and cold – fox fur coats, patchworked jackets and even a camo parka. Reintroduced chukka Hushpuppies were practical and cute.  What would Fergie wear?  She sat front row and center.
