Badgley Mischka open Manhattan store

Fashion duo -- and LI residents -- Mark Badgley and James Mischka opened their first Manhattan store, on East 64th Street, with a glittering party Tuesday night. "We've had stores all over the country, but never one in our own backyard," Mischka said.

Among the VIP guests was Kate Mara, busy filming season two of "House of Cards." "My style changes with my mood, so today I was obviously in a darker mood," she said of her black Badgley Mischka dress and blazer.

Also at the party was Carly Rae Jepsen, who talked about the fashionable perks that come with being a celeb (like the three Badgley Mischka dresses in her hotel room before the party.) "I'm definitely a tomboy at home, but when I go out I like to doll up."

Jepsen said she's "taking her time" on her second album. But how do you follow up a hit like "Call Me Maybe?"

"That's the happy problem I get to work on right now," she said.
