With the Oscars right around the corner, you would expect these known-for-glam designers to go super heavy on the Hollywood glitz, and trust us there was plenty.
But a selection of great sportswear from the duos less pricey Mark & James line made a strong showing as well, and included a lace-knit twin set (yes, we said twin set), in gray wool, topping beautifully cut stretch tuxedo pants. Any woman would crave the swanky lambskin and jersey wrap jacket or, from the newish Badgley Mischka outerwear collection, the ebony shearling bomber.
An assortment of lovely cocktail dresses included one with fluttery tulle sweeping up the side, and models wearing net masks appeared mysterious and dramatic.
Oh, but don’t fret Hollywood types, there was plenty of red carpet wear, including gowns so heavily embellished, they clacked when the models walked. And to underscore the glamour quotient, Rumer Willis, the current face of the brand, sat in the front row, her new red hair contrasting nicely with her frothy celadon crystal embellished gown.
