Black Friday 2016: Stores open, closed, hours and deals

Eat, shop, sleep (or not) and repeat — that’s what retailers are inviting customers to do on some of the busiest shopping days of the year. While many stores are again open for early birds on Thanksgiving Day, a few are staying open around the clock into the weekend, offering marathon sales.

This much is clear: If you’re going out, you need a plan. Here’s a rundown of opening and closing times at some popular Long Island malls and retailers.

THANKSGIVING DAY, NOV. 24

7 a.m.

Big Lots opens. Walmart opens (doorbusters don’t start until 6 p.m.).

 

3 p.m.

J.C. Penney opens with $2.99 bath towels (reg. $10) and $7.99-$9.99 small appliances after mail-in rebate (reg. $40-$50).

 

4 p.m.

Old Navy opens.

 

5 p.m.

Best Buy opens with $149.99 40-inch LG HDTV, $7.99 Blu-ray DVDs and $24.99 video games.

Macy’s opens with $19.99 select women’s boots and 60 percent off select outerwear for the family.

Toys R Us opens with $99.99 Nintendo 3DS, buy-one-get-one for $1 DVDs.

 

6 p.m.

Kohl’s opens with $99 Fitbit Alta (reg. $129.99-$149.99) and $249.99 Sony PlayStation 4 500GB Uncharted 4 console bundle or Microsoft Xbox One S Minecraft favorites console bundle (regularly $299 each).

Michael’s opens with $59.99 Fujifilm Instax cameras (reg. $119.99).

Roosevelt Field, Smith Haven, Broadway and Westfield South Shore malls open.

Sears opens.

Tanger Outlets open in Deer Park and Riverhead.

Target opens with 25 percent off Apple TVs, $49.99 Skyline five-piece luggage set and 35 percent off all apparel.

Ulta opens with $74.95 Ultra CHI Precious Metals Toumaline Ceramic 1-inch flat iron with tote.

Walmart begins Thanksgiving specials until midnight including $99 iPhone 5S 16GB, $48.88 Hatchimals and $1.96 select DVDs.

Big Lots, Sears and Walmart close.

First round of doorbusters end at Toys R Us.

BLACK FRIDAY, NOV. 25

1 a.m.

Best Buy, and Roosevelt Field and Smith Haven malls close.

5 a.m.

Sears reopens.

6 a.m.

Macy’s, and Broadway and Roosevelt Field malls reopen.

7 a.m.

Michael’s and Walmart reopen; Walt Whitman Shops open (closed Thanksgiving Day).

8 a.m.

Best Buy reopens with new doorbusters.

1 p.m.

Doorbusters end at Kohl’s.

5 p.m.

Doorbusters end at J.C. Penney.

10 p.m.

Best Buy, Macy’s, Michael’s, Nordstrom, Sears, Tanger Outlets, Walt Whitman Shops and Roosevelt Field close.

Midnight

Kohl’s, Target and Walmart close.

Stores open for marathon shopping

Kohl’s: 6 p.m. Thanksgiving through midnight Saturday

Tanger Outlets: 6 p.m. Thanksgiving through 10 p.m. Friday

Target: 6 p.m. Thanksgiving through midnight Friday
