In the midst of the last-minute holiday shopping rush at Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City, C. Wonder has opened its doors with gifts galore, from clothing and jewelry to home goods and handbags.
The new store, owned by Chris Burch, ex-husband of designer Tory Burch, recently opened its first ever location in Manhattan's SoHo. The merchandise is feminine and polished in a style remeniscent of Tory, but prices are somewhat more in reach.
You'll find sweaters for $58 to $78, fur-collared cardigans for $128, pea coats and trenches for $198. Bangle bracelets start around $28, earrings at $24 and charms are $15. Belts come in double wrap-around styles and metallics for $48-58, and patent leather ballet flats and crocodile-pattern rain boots are $78.
Colorful plates are decorated with animals, from elephants and monkeys to bulldogs and pugs for $38, and a stack of 12 Days of Christmas plates is $98.
Right now shoppers are receiving a card for a free pair of green studded "dazzling bling" earrings (worth $28) with any $50 purchase.
C. Wonder is on Level 2 between Macy's and Nordstrom.
