Making her grand entrance in a dance routine (how else?) two-time "Dancing With the Stars" champion Cheryl Burke debuted Macy's first active-wear line Wednesday night at Dream Hotel in Manhattan.
Burke is the face of the new line, called Ideology, launching in spring 2012.
Her most recent "Dancing With the Stars" partner, reality star Rob Kardashian, traded in his dancing shoes for the night, taking on the role of DJ.
"I'm so honored to be able to work with Macy's," Burke says. "I feel like it's a perfect partnership because this line and my body really work well together. I'm curvy, and I have hips like most women, and I feel like this line fits perfectly with a woman's figure."
The line includes bright cotton and spandex tanks, ruched-waist leggings in full, cropped and short lengths with patterned waistbands, lightweight wraps, sports bras, yoga mats and more.
"It's comfortable, it's sassy, it's fun, it's colorful," Burke says. "You can wear it if you want to work out, or you can wear it as day wear."
Burke said she loves the elastic on the fold-over leggings, which not only "don't make your fat bulge" but have small zippered pockets perfect for holding ID, money and other workout necessities.
"The sports bras are my favorite," she says. "It's so hard to find a really good sports bra and I feel like with this line, everything just falls into place."
What does Burke do to stay in shape when she's not working?
"When I'm not on the show I do jazzercise," she says. "It's so '80s, but it has really transformed itself into lots of fun, new dance moves, great music, and you burn up to like 700 calories an hour doing it."
