Corinne Bailey Rae's unique musical style has won her two Grammy Awards, and her unique fashion sense landed her in the spotlight at New York Fashion Week.
"I love clothes; I love to express my personality through them," she said, sitting front row at the Milly runway show in glittery Miu Miu shoes, black shorts and a white top she said she found in Singapore, embellished with a black bowtie.
"I hate wearing conservative clothes," she says. "What's the point?"
While in New York City, the stand-out singer said she shops at Voz, a vintage shop at 618 E. 9th Street.
"I got a butter yellow leather skirt there I just love," she said, "and these great 1980s Armani high-wasted trousers."

"Right now I'm coveting this 1940s Grace Coddington-style Miu Miu dress with shoulder pads," she said. "It's so stylish, really just exceptional."
