It's hard to argue with a simple slogan like David Barton's "Look Better Naked," especially with all that chocolate you may've indulged in for Valentine's Day. Well the Manhattan fitness guru is making it easier for all of us to...do just that...by offering a new "Love Hurts" program: a monthlong series of weekly workouts held at each of his four glitzy state-of-the-art Manhattan gyms. It's open to DavidBartonGym members and non-members alike. And best of all--it's free.
The "Love Hurts" workout class--which lasts an hour--targets all muscle groups. Participants use heavy weights for multiple sets, while also engaging in active recovery segments. (That said, no worries if you're not feeling terribly Schwarzenegger-ish--heavy weights is the goal, but everyone can (and should) work out at the weight level they're most comfortable with.)
So stop by on your way to work, or before an afternoon of shopping and carousing in the city. Just show up 10 minutes before class--first come, first serve. Bring a lock for your locker. And enjoy the rest of the gym's luxe facilities after. The free program is available in February at these DavidBartonGym locations:
