By 9 a.m. sharp Tuesday morning, 260 Fifth Avenue had a line stretching around the corner and down 28th Street as hundreds of fashionistas eagerly waited to dig into the Diane von Furstenberg sample sale on its first day open to the public.

Inside, music was blaring and racks upon racks of gorgeous patterns and pastels were visible in, among other things, silk blouses--all on sale for up to 70 percent off. That made it difficult to decide exactly where to start.

With prices ranging from $20 for super cute tanks to $275 for cocktail dresses and coats, stylish steals abounded. An hour easily slipped by as we lost ourselves in DVF's signature wrap dresses, ladylike tops and elegant evening clutches.

The sale runs through Saturday, June 9, and new merchandise will be arriving throughout the week.
