If fashion shows got awards for pitch-perfect production, DKNY would win first place. A New York taxicab parked outside was the backdrop for this gorgeous spectacle that was high-energy and an all-out blast.
The show focused on “west coast ease meeting east coast edge,” and the collection illustrated this precisely, with shorter-in-the-front/longer in the back breezy panel shift dresses in high octane blues and red –solids, striped, florals – worn with floppy hats and high wedges. Trust us, these dresses are going to find their way into many closets come spring.
There were skinny jeans in neutrals, brights and patterns worn with billowy oversized tees or neat zip front coats. Scoop backed swimsuits, and sexy little shorts paid homage to CA, but a bikini top shown with a pencil skirt gave the nod to both coasts. For pure glam, sequin skirts worn with oversized tees – perfect clubbing duds and might even make it to a Hollywood premiere.
