Summer is all about easy living, and your style should reflect that.

The best part? Looking like a goddess doesn’t have to break the bank. Sweat, sand and sunscreen make expensive dresses a don’t this season. Instead, opt for an affordable frock and go about your adventures worry-free.

We shopped four local boutiques to find great summer dresses under $60.

Veronica Rayne, Northport Village

"I'm the girl you come to if you need a good outfit to party in," says Carlene Afetian, the boutique's fashion-forward owner. New styles come in every day, and pieces are selected from local artisans, international designers and Manhattan showrooms. The most expensive dresses cost around $200, but you will find breezy summer picks for more affordable prices. The store is open seven days a week, and Afetian offers personal shopping by appointment.

Ooh La La, Huntington

This funky-yet-feminine shop has a high-end feel--with low prices. The average dress costs less than $50, and with tons of fun accessories and a style savvy staff, it's easy to complete the whole outfit in one shot. There are additional locations in Long Beach, Babylon, Sayville and Ocean Beach. The Ocean Beach location only opens for the summer season.

Trinkets, Hewlett

If organization and easy navigation are important to you, Trinkets is not your store. If you're willing to dig a little to find unique pieces and popular styles at discounted prices, however, you might find this little shop worth the trip. Many summer dresses cost just $25, but no credit cards, cash or check only.

Ruby and Jenna, Plainview

This busy store just opened June 30, but it's already a popular destination for trend seekers on a budget. "We have a boutique feel with lower prices," says manager Diana Librett. Everything from fun watches and colorful clutches to crop tops, blazers and dresses has a unique feel, and prices range from about $15 to $55. Plus, the grand opening sale is still going on so everything in the store is 10 percent off.
