Elie Tahari describes his spring 2013 collection, presented vignette-style in his showroom on Tuesday, as “a cocktail party at a Richard Neutra home in Palm Springs during the 1950s.”
From the looks of things, this party must have been a blast. Ripe with gorgeous California cool colors that bode well for spring, such as melon, lime, coral, palm and pink, Tahari's collection mainly stuck to those classic modern silos (they’re classic because they’re good). Here, you can find your spring wardrobe from shift dresses — one with sequin accents — a peplum or two, slim lace pencil skirts, leather pants (navy!) and jeans.
And note: Tahari wasn’t just referencing a party … he was having one. Icy caipirinhas all around.
