A new, swank headquarters for men is now open at the Americana Manhasset. This 2,100 square foot temple to men’s style is the 14th Zegna store in the United States. Raw materials such as wood and stone, loads of glass and a techy video wall featuring the Milan runway collections give off a modern day gentleman’s club vibe.
The store carries the full range of Ermenegildo Zegna and Zegna sports collections and accessories. There’s also a made-to-measure service and for that next red carpet gig. (or, say, wedding) formal attire. Fans of Zegna include Tom Brady, Eli Manning and Alec Baldwin.
The brand, founded in 1910, is celebrating 100 years in business. To that end, in May, they are offering a luxurious limited edition (natch, only 100 pieces of each globally) collection -- in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas only -- to honor the milestone. The Centennial collection includes a fountain pen ($7,800), gold cufflinks ($5,200) and the brand’s first watch, which they created in partnership with Girard Perregaux ($29,500).
Also, in July, the company will launch a Centennial Fabric #1 collection that reinterprets the first fabric ever produced by Ermenegildo Zegna and is touted as the world’s finest fabric. A finale shot at a recent show in Milan evidences the fabric’s wow factor. Major wow.
