If you're an American with a credit card, you probably know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the days after Thanksgiving when doorbuster sales and crazed shoppers welcome in the holiday season.
But what about Green Monday? Traditionally the second Monday in December (today's the day!), the term was coined by eBay in 2007 to describe the biggest online sales spike in December. Why is this seemingly average Monday so popular? It's the last Monday with at least 10 days until Christmas. That means this week is your last chance to shop without worries of packages not being delivered in time for the big day.
So, for all you procrastinators, this is the time to finally get your shopping done, unless you want to be that last person scrounging for leftovers at the mall next week.
Some online retailers are even offering special deals once again.
