Showing skin has been an overwhelming trend for spring/summer 2014 at New York Fashion Week, and why not? It's the perfect time of year to do so. (Especially if you're a thin, young model with legs for days, but we won't go there.)
Milly was no exception, as designer Michelle Smith continued to mix sportiness with femininity in that way she has such a knack for, with, yes, the crop tops and bralettes you've been hearing about, but also with cut-out pencil skirts and peekaboo mesh dresses, jackets and cover-ups that really, well, didn't do much covering at all.
But if you were in fact wearing these items the way Smith intends-- over super cool tropical-printed swimsuits and neon micro shorts (yes, that's a shorter version of the short short and, really, a glorified term for high-waisted panties), then showing off what's underneath would be exactly the point.
We'd carry on about her glam twist on hoodies and overalls and those must-have handbags, but we've got to hit the gym. Only six months til spring!
