Is Facebook the future of online shopping?

I admit it, shopping and social networking are probably two of my favorite online activities. So when I found out a new company was adding the two and coming out with a sum that equaled designer discounts, I thought it was too good to be true.

Turns out shoe company Love Be Loved works on a pretty simple concept. You see a shoe you like, and if you press the "like" button on Facebook, you get a discount. If you purchase and hit "share" so your friends can see what you bought, you get a credit towards your next purchase. You even get an initial $20 store credit just for "liking" their fan page.

What do they get out of this? Love Be Loved saves money on advertising, because you're doing it for them. In return, they offer you these discounts. Sounds like a win-win to me. Will other companies catch on? I'll be here excercising my mouse hand just in case they do...
