At Kiehl's, you can sample anything for free -- except the motorcycle.
Samples -- and incredible customer service -- have kept customers flocking to this East Village apothecary for 161 years. Now, you'll find its hair and body products at Roosevelt Field in Garden City, in a new shop with vintage fixtures, Mr. Bones (a teaching skeleton and brand icon) and classic motorcycle (part of the founding family's collection).
A grand opening party Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. will feature Lego-building for kids with artist Nathan Sawaya, and a $10,000 check Kiehl's and Sawaya are giving to help renovate Garden City's St. Paul's School building for public use. (Talk about neighborly!) The first 100 guests receive a free gift.
