With just six days until Christmas, procrastinators everywhere are checking their lists twice — only to realize the alarming number of people they still need to shop for.

If you dread the crowds at stores this time of year, online shopping is your only choice. You still have a shot at free shipping from some retailers, and for a few extra bucks you can be reassured the gifts you're mailing through USPS, UPS and FedEx will arrive on time. Here are the order deadlines if you want to receive your packages by Christmas Eve.


Order by 3 p.m. Dec. 19 for standard shipping, by midnight Dec. 22 for free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime, and by midnight Dec. 23 for one-day shipping. Or, get instant delivery on holiday gift cards.
