Friday was a big day for Massimo Dutti.
The brand opened its first store in the United States on 5th Avenue at 54th St. in Manhattan, and it also launched online shopping for the first time in the U.S. at massimodutti.com.
The U.S. flagship store is the largest Massimo Dutti store in the world, at 1,270 square meters with three floors and a warm boutique theme of walnut wood, brass, leather and dark marble.
Massimo Dutti is owned by Inditex Group, the same company that owns Zara, and the stores are now just two blocks apart.
To mark the U.S. debut, Massimo Dutti created the limited-edition 689 5th Avenue Collection, a tribute to Manhattan style for men and women. Urban-chic looks for women include a fur vest ($865), leather skirt ($368), cashmere blazer ($465), polished coats, sweaters and accessories, and men's pieces include a trench coat ($368), cashmere ties ($69.50), wool trousers ($128) and more.
