Max Azria: Clothes with a bit of swagger

If not earth-shattering, Max Azria’s collection of flowy silken tunics, dresses and skirts, paired with structured coats and pants in menswear fabrics, and special items like embossed leather, will be real wardrobe alternatives for women who don’t like to stray too far afield but want to add a bit of swagger to their look.   The collection radiated a put-together confidence, and an ease that will likely delight.

Of course, not everybody can pull off a skinny olive embossed leather pant, but then, the oversized matching tunic in georgette satin can hide a multitude of sins.

To underscore how well these clothes will work on how real folks, Azria’s wife, Lubov, who co-designs the collections, took a bow wearing a billowy black number from this grouping.  She looked smashing.
