Max Azria's latest simple, yet lovely

Max went minimalist at his third runway show of the week with a spare palette of nude, black and a shot of Bordeaux.

Despite the clean lines and lack of embellishment, (a handful of beads were tossed onto a few pieces), the beautifully tailored collection – dresses with flyaway panels, mesh insets, cowl backs and some skinny pants thrown in for good measure - were lovely.

What worked best were the interesting cutouts filled in by sheer mesh – revealing flashes of skin, here and there.

The line was classy, fresh and sexy but not overt in anyway. Our only beef were the clodhopper platform booties, these an awkward finish to the otherwise graceful looks.
