Now that the weather is (finally!!) getting warmer, you may be tempted to linger in the sun, but skin-care brand SkinCeuticals wants to remind you that May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and those oh-so-warming rays can be dangerous. SkinCeuticals is teaming up with the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) to take a stand against a potent form of skin cancer.
Check out SkinCeuticals on Facebook--that's facebook.com/skinceuticals--and you'll find info about skin cancer, their products and video testimonials from scores of women who explain how they plan to protect their skin from now on.
Upload your own video, and you can contribute to the cause. SkinCeuticals will donate $20 to the MRA for every video uploaded, and $2 for every post. They'll also send each user who uploads a video a free, full-size Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50, their newest product.
Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. It's not the most common skin cancer, but it causes the most deaths, and some 120,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, according to the American Cancer Society.
