What to wear when you meet up with Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker,” Patti Stanger? Long Island resident and caterer Andrea Correale, 40, owner of Elegant Affairs in Glen Cove and Manhattan, opted for a sassy black Zac Posen number. The single Correale who appears on the show tomorrow night (Bravo, Tuesday, 9 p.m.) hired Stanger to find her dream match – best case, according to Correale, a chivalrous, generous, golf-playing entrepreneurial type who looks like Johnny Depp, Greg Kinnear or a younger Richard Gere.
Though Correale, who is no stranger to reality shows (she’s appeared on three episodes of Bravo's “Housewives of New York,” VH1’s “Fabulous Life,” and MTV’s “True Life in the Hamptons") found the experience “fun,” she took her fair share of slicing and dicing from the show’s sometimes ornery star. “Patti was extremely tough, though she knows what she’s doing, but she’s very hard on her staff and her clients. She seemed on agenda, and no-nonsense,” said Correale.
Stanger, who often provides makeovers for fashion-challenged clients, was, says Correale, pleased with her appearance. “She said I looked like a beautiful, Jewish J.LO. “ Nice, said Correale, “Except that I’m not Jewish. I’m Italian, French and Lithuanian.”
The episode, called “Cooking and Queening,” also features fiery ex-publishing honcho, and former “queen of all media,” Judith Regan, 57 who is apparently looking for love as well.
So did our local caterer get her man? You’ll have to tune in to find out. Correale and friends will watch the episode at Bar Frites at Wheatley Plaza tomorrow night.
