Ooh-la-la, Natalie Portman has a brand new gig: she’s just been named the face of Parfums Christian Dior.
Women’s Wear Daily reported that the actress, who hails from Syosset and will turn 29 on June 9, is to join the star studded cast of Parfums Christian Dior which includes Charlize Theron, the face of “J’adore,” and Sharon Stone who pitches “Poison” for the company.
In an interview with WWD, Claude Martinez, president and chief executive officer of Parfums Christian Dior, said, “She will symbolize with grace the values of luxury and the glamour of Dior."
This is a brand new role for Portman who has never before represented a fragrance, beauty or makeup line. According to a quote reported by EOnline from an event in 2009, Portman said, "I don't have a problem with making money, but I don't believe in doing something you don't believe in to make money, like a makeup campaign or something like that -- the opportunities that young actors have all the time."
Like the saying goes, "it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind.” The specific product Portman will represent has yet to be revealed.
