Newsday’s 2016 Project Prom winner is a glamorous brainiac

Newsday's 2016 Project Prom winner is Nabila Alim, 17, a Deer Park High School senior. She applied to Project Prom to challenge society's standards of beauty. On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, she selected her favorite dresses from Charlotte's Closet in Port Washington, a store that rents dresses to teens and tweens. Charlotte's Closet will be allowing her to keep her dress. On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, Nabila had a makeover and photo shoot at the Newsday studio, and you, the viewer, can choose your favorite dress, which she will then wear to the prom!
