With its air of elegance and tradition, Italian designer Angelo Galasso's menswear fits in so effortlessly at The Plaza that the male models lining the ornate hall leading to the Oak Room for his presentation Wednesday night almost seemed like a regular part of the hotel's scenery.
Guests were led through Galasso's new flagship boutique in the Edwardian room, past lavish suits, blazers, ties and dress shoes, before taking in a musical performance.
In attendance was “Gossip Girl” actor Penn Badgley, who arrived with friends in a navy blue blazer and matching tie.
When asked about the saddest aspect of “Gossip Girl” coming to an end, Badgley struggled to find an answer.
“The lighting in my dressing room is really good,” he joked.
