Fans of Rebecca Minkoff's coveted handbags probably think working for the designer would be a dream come true, but the situation at her Manhattan headquarters is a little bit messy at the moment, Vogue reports. OK, more than a little bit.
Minkoff is facing fines of $77,000 from the U.S. Department of Labor for "willful and serious violations of workplace safety standards," including limiting access to emergency exits, after her offices were determined "overcrowded and congested," according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration report.
Minkoff's workspace was reportedly paid a visit after complaints were filed by some of her employees. She now has 15 days to clean up the "boxes, rolling racks, workstations, chairs, equipment, storage and other materials" and pay the fines.
Maybe an impromptu sample sale is the answer? We can only hope.
