Rock ‘n’ roll legend Steven Tyler and his daughter Chelsea, 22, are the faces of new rock-inspired clothing line, Andrew Charles being sold in the Impulse department of select Macy’s and at macys.com. The kindly American Idol judge and fashionably flamboyant Aerosmith frontman will be making a personal appearance to launch the line, tomorrow, Friday, October 14 the Macy’s Herald Square store at 5:15 PM. Whooo-hooo!
The collection, comprised mainly of women’s looks for Fall 2011 is owned in part by Andy Hilfiger, the brand’s creative director and president of marketing and brother Tommy. The line includes knits, woven’s, outwear and denim priced from $59 to $189 with design embellishments such as lace, sheer fabrics, Indian detailing and printed snakeskin. It’s all very cool looking with a distinctive 70's-style lady rocker vibe. Tyler has said that he gets lots of fashion inspiration from daughter Chelsea’s closet.
For holiday, watch for the Steven Tyler Rock Scarf collection – scarves being a Tyler fashion signature.
In addition to being the faces of the brand, the father and daughter will be making personal appearances at Macy’s across the country. We predict lots of screaming (Tyler’s nickname is the "Demon of Screamin’") and huge crowds.
