Bright feathers, bold patterns, edgy fringe -- design elements of Native American cultures are  being translated into modern 2011 styles in a big way.

Fashion’s top brands are showing a tribal influence this summer in everything from purses and dresses to necklaces and hair accessories. Urban Outfitters, Free People, BCBG Max Azria and Topshop are among the stores New Yorkers love that are offering Native American inspired pieces.

Want to start slow? Try this feminine tribal-style print dress from Delia’s, on sale for $39.50, or this more abstract one from Alloy, on sale for $19.99. Add color to a basic outfit with this Navajo-print scarf from Theodora & Callum, on sale for $122.50, or keep it simple with these Free People Seminole Sandals, on sale for $49.95.

Dress up the style with this sleek skirt from BCBG Max Azria ($178), or hang out in a more casual bottom from Topshop, on sale for $30, or this woven bucket bag ($175).

Feeling a little more daring? Slip on this breezy dress from Free People ($188) or this fun bracelet set by Adia Kibur ($48).

Embrace the feather frenzy with a low-key blush, turquoise and antique gold combination in this Topshop necklace ($180) or brighten your complexion with these colorful Free People earrings ($68).

Have you traded in your polished duds for a new tribal-design edge? Share your favorite pieces with us, and let the fashion adventure begin.
