If there’s been one show, so far, that’s brought out the lust factor of the assembled fashion flock, it may well be DKNY.

With frosty temps and slushy streets, nothing seemed more appealing than the brand’s oversized bomber coat, a cushy elongated job of neoprene, that hit below the knee, and looked as warm as all get-out. Seatmates on both sides at the show whispered, “I want that.”

There’s a lot more to want from this collection which, to put it mildly, went big, with the underlying notion being “exaggerated classics.” Some sweaters were super-long – knee-length, a few boasting enormous animal prints – a show-stopping version in red.

And proportion, texture and layering was central and deftly played. Donna Karan knows that sometimes a girl wants to be cozy, and other times she wants to flaunt it, so not everything was oversized, like the fabulous, form-fitting sculpted dresses of silk neoprene and leather that read like an hour glass. There were short sweaters over long button-down shirts, a floor-grazing blue jersey and silk-quilted gown topped slim, black stretch pants. A camel animal print sweater dress featured a peplum in silk peeking out of the hem.

But back to the coat department, they were superb – a pink oversized drop shoulder number, a killer stone parka that featured a cropped shirttail back. Let it snow.
