Designer Vivienne Tam is the spiritual type. In her program notes, she says her collection was inspired by her love of the Seventies, and the feeling of harmony and peace one senses strolling through Zen gardens in Asia.
Many pieces in this lovely collection emitted an aura of lightness and ease. Our favorites were sweet washed-cotton dresses in sun-faded colors featuring light-handed appliqué. This is the “it” dress for a steamy summer day.
There were graphic winged prints, dazzling florals and an eye-catching, vibrant, swirling, turquoise draped silk gown. Show stopping: a garden print chiffon waterfall gown – groovy and gorgeous…and that elevated our spirits.
