There’s a new Ann Taylor in Roosevelt Field opening today, July 22 and it’s the first of its kind on Long Island. The store is inspired by and designed like a stylish contemporary home, making the shopping experience oh-that-much-more comfy.

To this end, you’ll find whitewashed maple hardwood floors, luxe crystal chandeliers and modern tufted furniture. To enhance to the homey vibe, there are artfully scattered accessories throughout the store – fashion books, jewelry cabinets and framed images. Add well-appointed dressing rooms (these referred to as “styling rooms,” feature feminine floral wall coverings) and a lounge where you can access the company’s website to find a complete product assortment. There you’ll discover an expanded wear-to-work selection, a broader assortment of shoes and petites, and online exclusives including tall sizes and a “Weddings and Events” collection.

The brand’s new head of design, Lisa Axelson, has not only updated and revamped the goods, but showcases her favorite looks runway style with a lineup of mannequins making it easier to put outfits together. She says the store's revamp  is designed to make, “our client feel comfortable and welcome.”

And who knew Ann was a party girl?

On Saturday, July 30, a funfest that runs from 1-5 PM will be co-hosted by Glamour Magazine and include a live DJ, refreshments, sweets, raffles and a gift with any purchase over $100.

We’re looking forward to hanging at Ann’s new house…aren’t you?
