A new look in Port Jefferson

The large entry room and a living room were two separate rooms before the makeover at the Port Jefferson house of Karen and Jeff Rose. A Sears-kit, Craftsman-style house, it carried the unusual paint job well, but the space presented an issue. "We weren't using either room as much as we should have," says karen Rose, 49. For solutions, she and her husband, Jeff, brought in designer Eva Glaser of the Home & Garden Co. of Port Jefferson. Total: $14,273.
