It's cold out again, and there's yet another storm coming tomorrow, but I'm keeping my eye on spring. Today's a good day to clean and sterilize seed-starting supplies. This helps avoid spreading damping-off and other diseases as seedlings grow. Though these supplies won't be needed for more than a month, it's best to get all the little prep chores out of the way when you don't have a lot going on, gardening-wise. If you wait until you're ready to start seeds, you might be tempted to skip this step -- and end up regretting it.
I'll be serving up more tips now that we've turned the corner toward spring, so check back often.
