Here is some inspiration for designing outdoor living space from three Long Island backyards -- in Atlantic Beach, Huntington and Southold.

The Baltimore Design Center was hired to decorate a sprawling space behind this seaside home in Atlantic Beach. "We wanted it very simple, very clean, almost austere," founder Keith Baltimore says.

To keep this Atlantic Beach home's outdoor space easy to maintain, designer Keith Baltimore picked waterproof furnishings, incorporating black and white striped throw pillows and touches of blue and white to bring the interior and exterior together.
