Kidsday: Rex, the dog who likes to drive
My dog Rex, a 4 year-old schnauzer, hopped up in my car when we were at a rest stop during a long car trip. He was looking for my father, who had gone in to get a quick bite to eat.
Rex loves to cause trouble like that. I saw him on the steering wheel, and I took the picture quickly. I mean, when else are you going to see a dog trying to drive a car? Probably not soon. Unless you know Rex.
Get over the hump and take a camel ride
Have you ever been to the Bronx Zoo? I have! If you have been in Wild Asia Plaza, then you know that there are camel rides. For just $6 a person, you can ride on one. It is a lot of fun. A zookeeper guides the camel around the ring. Although the wait can be long, it is always worth it. My older sister and I rode on one and had a blast!
When the weather gets nicer in the spring, put this on your list of things to do. The Bronx Zoo is a great place to visit. For more: bronxzoo.com

Turn trash into bling
We, as the next generation, need to start preserving the planet we live on.
Recycling is a great way to start. Pop tabs off soda cans are great materials to start a craft.
With 20 pop tabs, a piece of cord and 10 little fingers, you can make a cute soda pop tab bracelet.
Instead of throwing the pop tabs away, clean them with soap and water, and then use them to make a bracelet.
Don't forget to recycle the cans!
