Kidsday: Toys and games for the holidays

Perplexus

(PlaySmart)

Perplexus is a terrific game and easy to play. You roll a little ball to the numbers and start to work through the maze. You try to make it to the number 100, and if you do, you've completed the maze. I played Perplexus with my sister all week. If you like mazes, Perplexus is the right game for you. For ages 10 and older. Perplexus is the best maze ever.

Squinkies

(Blip Toys)

What are Squinkies? They are adorable little, squishy toy pets and little babies and kids. There are different kinds of pets, such as cats, dogs, monkeys and ponies. The little people are all different. There are play sets you can get, and I played with a few. I really like playing with the Squinkies and the Bake Shop and Tea Time Playset. It was fun stretching the Squinkies and then putting them back inside the ball. You can even put the Squinkies on top of your pencil. You can put the Squinkies on a bracelet and ring and wear them, too.

Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill!

(Her Interactive)

Do you like mysteries? Well, if you do, Secrets Can Kill! is an interactive CD-ROM game for you. It's about a detective named Nancy Drew who goes undercover as a student at a high school to find out if any of the students know anything about a student who was murdered. You have to follow clues, solve puzzles and interact with others to solve the mystery. I haven't solved the mystery yet, but I do want to keep trying.
