Kidsday: Toys we liked

Skylanders Spyros Adventure (Activision)

In Skylanders Spyros Adventure, you can fly, attack and much more. Another feature is that you can play in different modes, like story mode and battle mode. In story mode, you can find the eight elements and restore light to the lands of Skylands. In battle mode, you can play against your friends and family. Alexander played the game for six hours straight. The game itself is fun. There is a drumlike object. You place a toy on the drum and the character comes to life on the TV. The drum is called The Portal of Power. You can collect and trade the figures with your friends. It is one of the most fun, interesting games we've ever played.

Dicecapades Kerfuffle (The Haywire Group)

I tested Dicecapades Kerfuffle. To play Kerfuffle, you roll your dice and try to create a pair, three of a kind, four of a kind or a straight by lining up your dice with the dice that are already on the game grid. But, here's the catch . . . You need to do this while performing a task. For example, my dad picked a card that told him he had to raise his pinkie. The first player to get rid of their dice wins this laugh-out-loud strategy game. It's really fun because the cards say wacky stuff that you have to do during your turn.

Real Tech Spy Net Super Hearing Device Bionic Ear (Jakks Pacific /Spy Net)

I tested the bionic ear with my friend. It is an electronic box that includes two suction-cup listening devices. One box is attached to a wall or object. The other box is held by the player. The idea is to be able to spy on others. First, we tested it by going into my friend's laundry room. We could hear the TV across the whole basement, with the volume on 3. This is amazing! If you're into undercover secret-agent stuff, you should totally get it.
