Those itching for some Italian feast food can head to the Church of St. Rocco in Glen Cove, located at 18 Third St., on Saturday for its second annual Food Truck Festival and Christmas Boutique Extravaganza from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Patrons can nosh on some of the same classic festival food found at the parish's long-running summer Feast of St. Rocco — cheesesteaks, zeppoles, corn dogs, sausage and pepper heroes — from 10 food trucks in the church parking lot. Inside, a Christmas boutique will feature 22 vendors selling handmade crafts, such as knitted items and jewelry, plus gourmet chocolate and homemade baked goods.
“Everything we do is associated with food,” says event chair Angie Graziosi. “You can’t go home without tasting something.”
A Mass will be said at 4 p.m., followed by a tree lighting ceremony at 5 and a visit from Santa via fire truck. A horse-drawn sleigh will provide rides around the parking lot for $5.
Admission is free. For more information, call 516-676-2482.
