North Shore Animal League America offers free adoptions in honor of Kitten Bowl III

In honor of Kitten Bowl III, North Shore

In honor of Kitten Bowl III, North Shore Animal League America is offering adoption specials all weekend long.

Calling all aspriring pet owners! In honor of the Hallmark Channel's Kitten Bowl III and the 50th Super Bowl, North Shore Animal League America is offering free adoptions for the first 50 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. After the first 50 adoptions, felines will be offered for only a $50 adoption fee all weekend long.

The adoption specials are the highlight of the third-annual Kitten Bowl party, held at North Shore Animal League America, located at 25 Davis Ave. in Port Washington. Kitten Bowl III will be streamed during the event starting at noon. Fun-filled activities and giveaways will be offered, as well.

All of the kittens in the Kitten Bowl have been adopted. Many of the kittens came from North Shore Animal League America. The organization's national spokesperson, Beth Stern, co-hosts the event with John Stering, the radio voice of the New York Yankees. According to North Shore Animal League America, the Kitten Bowl has resulted in more than 850 adoptions nationwide in the past two years.
