We'll help you skip this step and bring your pet along for the fun at these Long Island hotels, where Fido is just as welcome as his two-legged brothers and sisters.
The Andrew Hotel

INFO: 31 W. Water St., Sag Harbor; 844-227-6672, baronscove.com PET RULES: Dogs are permitted in the hotel's "Village Garden" rooms. One dog, no more than 50 pounds in weight is permitted; all dogs must be registered upon arrival (guests found with unregistered dogs will be fined $150, in addition to a $100 nightly dog rate). Guests should book the hotel's "Travels with Charley" dog package, which includes a dog bed, bowls, door hangar, waste bags and frisbee. (The full dog policy is posted on the Baron's Cove website).
Red Roof Inn

Homewood Suites by Hilton
LOCATIONS: Carle Place, (40 Westbury Ave.; 516-747-0230, homewoodsuites3.hilton.com) and Plainview (1585 Round Swamp Rd.; 516-293-4663, homewoodsuites3.hilton.com) PET RULES: Cats and dogs under 50 pounds are invited to snuggle up at Homewood Suites by Hilton. Two pets are allowed per room. A $200 nonrefundable cleaning fee is required and a $10 cleaning fee is required every day thereafter.
The Inn at Fox Hollow
INFO: 7755 Jericho Tpke., Woodbury; 800-291-8090, theinnatfoxhollow.com PET RULES: The Inn at Fox Hollow, a boutique hotel, allows dogs that weigh 30 pounds or less, with a $150 nonrefundable cleaning fee deposit and a $15 charge per night thereafter. No other pets are allowed. No animals are allowed in the Royal Suite, no matter how fancy the pooch.
Glen Cove Mansion

Oheka Castle Hotel & Estate

Advanced notice, vet's letter and a signed Pet's Policy is required before the pet may enter the estate. Marriott Residence Inn

One pet per room; guests with pets must stay on the first floor. Management reserves the right to decide if a pet is too large.

Owners are responsible for any damage caused by the pet. Dogs must be crated when the guest is not the room; housekeeping will not enter the room if the dog is not crated. All dogs must be leashed when on the premises; the hotel reserves the right to ask the owner to kennel the dog elsewhere if the animal presents any issue(at the owner's expense). Pets are not permitted inside the restaurant or pool area.
The Mill House Inn

Animals aren't permitted in the dining room during breakfast, and must be leased when on-premises. Not all rooms are dog-friendly; call for more information. LOCATIONS: Garden City (5 North Ave.; 516-222-6277, gardencity.place.hyatt.com) and Riverhead (451 E. Main St.; 631-208-0002, longislandeastend.place.hyatt.com) PET RULES: Only housebroken dogs weighing 50 pounds and under are allowed; two dogs may be permitted in a guestroom provided the combined weight does not surpass 75 pounds. Guests staying 1-6 nights must pay a nonrefundable $75 non-refundable fee; guests staying 7-30 nights pay a $100 cleaning fee in addition to the $75 non-refundable fee. A two-dog maximum is permitted; guests planning to stay more than 30 nights should contact the hotel in advance.
Baywatch Hotel & Marina
