Earl the Grumpy Puppy
Earl the Grumpy Puppy is a 5-month-old puggle from Iowa with a star-studded scowl. He became an overnight internet sensation after his owner, Derek Bloomfield, posted photos of the salty-looking puggle on Reddit. Redditors went wild, the photo amassed more than 2 million views, and comments took a hilarious turn from "This dog should have clearly been named Red Forman" (Mick0331) to "This dog looks like he pays taxes" (grundo1561). It wasn't long before the photo was upvoted to Reddit's front page. Bloomfield told Yahoo! UK that Earl's got a bum rap and "just looks grumpy because of his underbite, wrinkles, and dark complexion" but is actually "the most relaxed, content puppy either one of us has ever seen."
Cooper: Photographer Cat
Cooper isn't an ordinary cat. Sure, he's cute and photogenic, but his 700,000 Facebook followers don't visit his page to find photos of a kitty playing with yarn. Cooper, identified as an "artist" on Facebook, is a 6-year-old American shorthair who is actually the photographer behind his social media profile. Every week Cooper heads outside documenting his adventures while wearing a micro-camera around his neck. Cooper's camera, set to snap photos of his journey every two minutes, captures images of nature and, sometimes, other cats. Cooper has a website, Facebook, and even his own book.
Nala, a 4-year-old Siamese mix, was adopted from an animal shelter when she was about 5 months old. Nala's owner started her Instagram feed as a way to keep in touch with her brothers, sisters and other friends from the shelter. But 1.8 million followers later, Nala's feed of sleepy and mischievous photos has made her an Internet star. She has even been the cover model for Feline Wellness magazine. Purin the Super Beagle lives up to her name on Facebook. She can skateboard, balance on tricky objects and even knows karate.
